Summer just wants to stay!

Tony and I went to Montreal to celebrate our 13th wedding anniversary. Just for 4 days. Since my knee replacements and a couple of years before, we have not really traveled much, as I was not able to get around well. We decided that we would do as much as we could by public transit. I found a package offered through Porter Air, and booked it. Awesome experience! We took the Go train into the city, hopped on the shuttle by the Royal York, and then flew to Montreal and then did the reverse on the way home! I loved it! To think we can travel from Georgetown to Montreal, trains and planes, in 3 hours, with no traffic stress is amazing! I highly recommend it!

Now that we are back, we have been following up with new clients, new listings on the market, and the such. There are some great listings on the market, several townhouses under the $500,000 mark, detached homes starting just above that price in both Georgetown and Acton.

8 Byron Street is a sweet little home, Grandma"s house, in need of some updating, but it's on a great street. Centrally located, walking distance to almost everywhere, and located across the street from a parkette. The house itself is dated, but it has a newer furnace and roof, a recent second bathroom/laundry room in the basement, and a garage! Listed at $510,000.00.

Another bungalow in central Georgetown available for sale is 9 Lane Court. This is a wee court, with some smaller bungalows, and some that have been customized when they were built in the 50's and 60's. This is one of the fancy ones! This home has been updated, and well cared for! Quite spacious, with a walk out basement backing on the ravine, and parkland. Quite spacious inside, with 3+1 bedrooms, basement recreation room with walk out to a lovely patio. It's pretty sweet! Asking $724,900.00.

So, this next house has a story. I actually grew up in Glen Williams, from grade one to grade eleven, and my friend Karen lived across the road in this house. I take the path beside this house to cut through some open fields to walk to the highschool in Georgetown, and in the summer pick wild raspberries in that backyard. 34 Wildwood Road doesn't look like it did in the 80's anymore with a huge addition, and updates in the home. It is wonderfully tucked away with a long lane way, updated throughout with a well thought out addition almost doubling the square footage, and much more with the swim spa and outdoor space. It's a neat home! Asking $1,100,000.00.
